A calm, private place to keep track of a child's health — doctor visits, vaccinations, medications, growth, teeth, symptoms, and the papers a clinic hands you.
Everything stays on the phone
Baby Steps has no account, no server and no analytics. Records are stored on the device and nowhere else. Android's own automatic backup is switched off for the app, so they are not copied to Google Drive; on an iPhone the same records are excluded from iCloud and from encrypted computer backups. Nothing copies them anywhere — which also means a lost phone takes them with it, so Export everything is the only copy there is.
Reading you can check
Twenty-nine short articles on sleep, feeding, teething, growth, development and safety, each one naming the publisher it came from — the WHO, the NHS, the CDC, the American Academy of Pediatrics — with the address and the date it was last checked. They are bundled with the app, so they open with no signal.
Reminders that work without a signal
Every reminder is an alarm set on the phone itself rather than a push notification from a server, so doses and vaccination dates arrive whether or not there is coverage — in a clinic basement, on a plane, or with mobile data turned off.
It organises. It does not prescribe.
Vaccination timing comes from the WHO and UNICEF Joint Reporting Form for the country you choose, not from anything the app invents. Medication schedules come from your doctor. Baby Steps stores them and reminds you, and never changes a dose, a course length or a date on its own.
